TANTRA EN SEX
Sexual acts are movements that intended to synchronize between different energetic structures (for example, our bodies). Sex, sexuality and sexual acts are an expression of the true nature of all temporary energetic structures to synchronize with each other.
Sexual acts aren’t separated from life. They are life. Sexual acts that are performed just with the purpose of releasing energy, will not provide a long-lasting satisfaction, and will not provide the person the chance to experience their true nature, namely pleasure (read: synchronization) and unity.
Our need to surrender to pleasure and dissolve in unity can never be satisfied by sexual acts like most people know and experience them. Our physical and emotional health depends on the possibility of experiencing an orgasm. There is a big difference between climaxing, in other words, a partial release of energy through the sexual organs, and an orgasm.
An orgasm is a spontaneous, reflective and pleasure-giving experience where energy is distributed and synchronized in our bodies, and/or between bodies. The initial phase of this process, consists of tremors in your body. The energy is being re-tuned. An orgasm is not dependent on, nor connected to, the sexual organs. Reaching an energetic orgasm enlarges the reception range of our senses and magnifies our experience of the flowing life energy.
Most people experience a physical penetration through sexual acts, but no energetic penetration. They don’t mix their energies, in other words, it is about ‘regular’ sex; there is no energetic synchronization, just energetic release. This explains why most people feel loneliness and frustration regarding their sex life.
Sex is about physical-energetic exchange and manipulation; Maha Kundalini Tantra is the science of energetic synchronization in a human and around humans. Maha Kundalini Tantra is a methodical, structural technique that teaches people to synchronize with their own physical structure and all appearances around them, on a physical, mental and emotional level.
The usual definition of sex is not relevant in the context of Tantra. What is commonly understood under sex, has, in some countries, lead to a society of hypocrites. It has led thousands of youngsters to metal institutions. If you desire something, but you’ve been programmed to think that this desire is bad, it results in all kinds of guilt trips. For this reason, yogis have tried to guide sexual urges in a right direction. Tantra does not concern itself with the sexual life, and is free from judgment. Sex isn’t seen as spiritual, but it isn’t seen as unspiritual either. When you practice the ‘left-hand Tantra’ and master some techniques, your sexual life becomes spiritual. You are transforming your sexual energy into meditation, into awareness.
Neo-Tantra refers to the Western interpretation of traditional Tantra. Some proponents of Neo-Tantra refer to old, traditional texts and principles; many others use tantra as a kind of collective noun for ‘sacred sexuality’ and can perform unorthodox practices.
Many people are attracted to Neo-Tantrism because it promises sexual arousal or satisfaction, while it envelopes pure sex drive and emotional needs-gratification. Example of abuse of tantra can be found throughout the entire history of the practice of Tantra. Horny ‘gurus’ and ‘tantra practitioners’ grab the chance to promote their peculiar ceremonies and philosophies under the name ‘tantra’, so they can fulfill their sexual fantasies.
The science of Tantra knows two main currents:
Vama marga and Dakshina marga
Vama marga is the left-hand path that combines tantric practice with sex with the intention of explosively awakening the energy centers.
Dakshina marga is the right-hand path of practicing tantra without sexual activities. Dakshina marga used to be the most followed path because of the barriers and the taboos regarding sexual energy. Nowadays, these barriers are broken quickly and Vama marga, which uses sexual energy to support spiritual development, is the most followed path within Tantra with people all over the world.
Union of man and woman
According to Tantra, the goal of sexual life is threefold. The Tantra practitioner distances him- or herself from judgment towards sex. He or she uses it as an element of awareness in his or her spiritual practice.
Usually, the experience of transformation of sexual energy is lost even before one can become more familiar with it. BY using certain techniques, this experience can be a lasting one, even throughout the day. Sleeping parts of the brain will awaken; they become and stay active.
The advantage of Vama Marga is that Kundalini can be awakened through sexual interaction between man and woman, man and man and woman with woman. The concept behind this follows the same course as the process of nuclear fusion as described in modern physics. Man and woman represent positive and negative energy. On a mental level, they represent time and space. These two powers are usually each other’s anti-polarities. During sexual interaction, they move from their positions of polarity (opposites) to the middle. When they come together in the nucleus, the central point, an explosion takes place.
The natural union that takes place between man and woman is seen as the explosion of the energy cores. This union between positive and negative polarities is the origin of creation in every aspect of life. At the same time, this fusion is also responsible for enlightenment: a glimpse of a higher experience is caught. This topic is extensively talked about in all ancient scriptures about Tantra.
Shiva en Shakti
The process of guiding the energy to the higher energy centers is more important than the energy waves that are created during the union. Everyone knows how this sexual energy can be induced, but only a few know how this energy can be guided to the higher centers. Very few people have a full and positive understanding of this natural event that almost everyone experiences. The elements that are united in this process, are known as Shiva and Shakti. Shiva stands for purusha, or consciousness, and Shakti stands for prakriti, or energy.
Shakti is present in many forms in all the creation. Shakti knows both material and spiritual energy. Whenever the energy moves outward, it is material energy; when she is headed upward, it is spiritual energy. That is why the union of man and woman, when performed the right way, has an especially positive effect on the development of spiritual consciousness, and plays a great role in awakening the Kundalini.
